Nosotras is a TV docuseries made for the MinMujeresPBA, a ministry of diversity and gender inclusion in the Buenos Aires province. It was produced by Ponchosauer, conceived by Mariana Carbajal and directed by Lucia Lubarsky. You can watch it for free at Cont.ar, the free online public streaming platform.
This was a really exciting project in which I designed and animated every graphic piece. I had to create the opening, the final credits, the lower-thirds and some graphic assets like animated backgrounds, containers and titles.
Through the chapters we get to know the story of the feminists that did history in Buenos Aires from 1980 to 2015. We get introduced to a lot of social issues, inequalities and storys that need to be told. There are a lot of different people who fought to get us where we are now, without knowing about academic feminist text, just trying to start a change with what they had nearby.
It was really exciting for me to help tell these stories. We worked with Lucia to understand a way to integrate everyone through graphic design, all these different people and different years needed to be united through the series. In these kind of stories we don’t have much footage or pictures so one of the priorities was to create some sequences with animated backgrounds and containers that where going to be used by the editors to help tell the stories with the archives that we had. We chose some textures, colors and I began creating these pieces that culminated with the collage for opening titles. I have a lot more to write about these project but it will be so boring. If you want to know more, you can send me an email and I will be happy to share with you!
